Brewery | Pilothouse in Aurora begins construction

One of Bacon Lane Architect LLC’ brewery projects began construction in late October 2017. Bacon Lane Architect LLC was hired to provide architectural design services for Pilothouse Brewing Company, a new brewery and taproom coming to Aurora.

Pilothouse Brewing will be located in the Quincy Place Shopping Center at South Buckley and Quincy Roads in Aurora, with plans to open in 2018. The nautical themed taproom will include up 32 tap handles for both the ‘pilot’ recipes of amateur brewers and their own ‘house’ crafted beers. The taproom and outdoor patio will draw their design inspiration from the founder’s love of sailing and the sights of coastal New England, from Newport, Rhode Island to Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and will feature a real sailing yacht’s binnacle (sailboat steering wheel, pedestal, compass, and fold-out teak table with cushioned bench-style seating around it) for patrons to enjoy.

Buffalo Rose | Revitalization of Oldest Bar in Colorado

Exciting things happening in Golden, Colorado! The Buffalo Rose closed on November 19 to begin the next phase of life for Colorado’s oldest bar. Bacon Lane Architect LLC has been involved in the revitalization of this commercial entity as Architect and Designer since 2014 and we look forward to its completion and opening in fall 2018.

Selective demolition to begin immediately following closure in support of the Bacon Lane Architect LLC renovation and refurbishment of this popular restaurant/bar/event venue.

Bacon Lane Architect LLC is pleased to share that the interior renovation and build out of the historic 715 Club in Five Points is under way. The owner’s goal is to maintain the spirit and feel of the landmark club, with an updated, modernized open space. Check out how they have revitalized the old sign – Awesome! There are many exciting projects developing in this area, and this will be one great addition to the neighborhood.

Black Sky Brewery | Now Open!

ArcWest – States – Architects who provided the brewery design services to Black Sky Brewery is very excited to share: The BSB “Tap Room” is open!

BSB | “Tap Room” is set and waiting for the first patrons

Black Sky Brewery now “On-Tap”. The newest addition to the local brewing community opened for business September 25, 2013 serving fine brews, heavy metal, and great pizza. Black sky opened at 490 Santa Fe Drive, just south of the Santa Fe Arts district into a former industrial dry cleaner space that serves its metal motif perfectly with a hard rock edge.

Bacon Lane Architect LLC contributed brewery design services to the project by lending logistical support and design modification required for the change of occupancy and to obtain building permits from the City of States, bringing this Tap Room, Brewery, and Commercial Kitchen to life.

The Bacon Lane Architect LLC team is looking forward to stopping over to sample the innovative beers crafted by Brewmaster Harry Smith and his crew of brew artisans. Watch this interview with Harry Smith on youtube to learn more about the creation and philosophy of the beermaking.
